Community Partners
Veteran Businesses Supporting Veteran Causes
What It Is
The Community Partners Program is BURDZ-I’s initiative to recognize, support, and collaborate with veteran-owned and veteran-family-owned businesses that contribute to strong veteran communities. This program highlights businesses built by veterans and their families and creates ethical opportunities for engagement, visibility, and mission-aligned collaboration especially for veteran-owned businesses that wish to continue serving the community beyond the uniform.
How It Operates
BURDZ-I identifies and engages qualifying businesses through referrals, outreach, and community relationships. Veteran-owned businesses may be considered for mission-aligned opportunities such as service partnerships, vendor relationships, event participation, and collaborative initiatives, where appropriate and compliant with nonprofit regulations.
Veteran-family-owned businesses are recognized for their role in supporting military households and may participate in community collaborations, acknowledgments, and partner initiatives.
All partnerships are reviewed to ensure:
Alignment with BURDZ-I’s charitable purpose
Compliance with IRS regulations and internal conflict-of-interest policies
Transparency and accountability in any collaboration or exchange of services
Participation does not guarantee financial compensation or endorsement. All opportunities are evaluated based on mission fit, capacity, and public benefit.
Why It Matters
Veteran-owned and veteran-family-owned businesses are engines of stability, reintegration, and leadership within veteran communities. Supporting these enterprises helps strengthen veteran households, create economic opportunity, and reinvest skills and resources back into the community.
The Community Partners Program matters because it extends veteran support beyond direct aid—building sustainable pathways where veterans can thrive as business owners, leaders, and contributors, while maintaining the integrity and public trust of the charitable mission.
